12 June, 2026 Delhi : Mr RK Bhati has been promoted as Deputy Director General in the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. Mr Bhati joined Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, as Asst. Director in 1998. During his tenure with Ministry of Tourism, he has worked in various divisions in the Headquarters in Delhi including overseas and domestic India Tourism offices. He is a widely travelled officer across Europe and Asia which has enabled him gain cross cultural diverse experience and critical analytical thinking to develop and promote tourism. Mr Bhati was posted as Manager at India Tourism, Kochi during 2001-2003 where he played an active role in developing and promoting tourism in coordination with tourism industry stakeholders and Kerala State Tourism Department. He was also posted at India Tourism Singapore from 2003-2006 looking after South East Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos). From 2011-2014 he was posted at India Tourism Amsterdam looking after Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxemburg, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. During his tenure at the Headquarters in Delhi 2019-2024 he was posted at International Cooperation and Overseas Marketing Division of Ministry of Tourism before joining as Director India Tourism Jaipur.
