Ahmedabad, 18 March 2026 : Accor has announced the appointment of Mr. Ganeshram Iyer as the General Manager of Grand Mercure Ahmedabad GIFT City. With more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, he brings extensive expertise in hotel operations, pre-opening leadership, revenue management and guest experience.

Prior to this appointment, he served as Hotel Manager at ibis Styles Mysuru, where he successfully led the pre-opening and launch of the property. Under his leadership, the hotel achieved strong first-year performance, surpassing budgeted occupancy and revenue targets while delivering high guest satisfaction scores and strong brand audit results.

Mr. Ganeshram has been part of leading national and international hospitality brands such as Hyatt, Marriott, Taj, and Radisson. Across his career, he has held key leadership roles within these renowned hotel groups, contributing to their operations and guest experience. Known for his strong operational acumen and people-focused leadership style, Ganeshram has a proven track record in driving revenue growth, enhancing guest satisfaction and building high-performing teams.

In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations at Grand Mercure Ahmedabad GIFT City, strengthening the hotel’s market positioning and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

With his extensive experience across luxury and mid-scale hospitality segments, Mr. Ganeshram is expected to further enhance the hotel’s performance and reinforce its reputation as a leading destination for business and leisure travellers visiting Gujarat’s emerging financial hub.
