Coverage of the 12th Annual India MICE Awards 2026 Held in Pune by Sakal

Pune, 28 February 2026: The 12th Annual edition of the India MICE Awards & Summit, the premier platform for India’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism sector, was held in a highly prestigious atmosphere on 27 February in Pune. The presence of hoteliers, convention centres, destination management companies, airlines, tourism boards, and event professionals from across the country made the ceremony historic.

The India MICE Awards are organised by India’s renowned inbound magazine TravTour MICE. For the past two decades, the magazine has played a commendable role in giving recognition to India’s MICE tourism sector and strengthening India’s roots in the international arena.

Each year, the London-based magazine’s Editor, Mr. Arvind Sharma, honours tourism entrepreneurs from various states across India for their outstanding contributions. The objective of the event is to recognise hotels, general managers, hoteliers, convention centres, and MICE service providers who have demonstrated excellence in the MICE and hospitality industry.

The Chief Guest of the event was Maharani Ms. Nivritti Kumari Mewar of the Udaipur royal family, who presented 18 awards during the ceremony along with Ms. Manisha Sharma, the MD – TravTour MICE Guide. India Tourism Mumbai – Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, strengthened the Incredible India campaign by coming on board as the Gold Sponsor. Speaking about the Government of India’s tourism policies, Mr. Mohammad Farooq, Regional Director of India Tourism Mumbai, stated that promoting MICE tourism remains a key objective.

Dr. Sanjay Patil, Founder of the D Y Patil Institute, was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Raouf Dhanani, Managing Director of Sayaji Hotels, received the “Hotelier of the Year” award. Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, Delhi, was awarded “Best Convention Centre.” Veteran professional Vishal Kapoor was recognised as “Hospitality Professional of the Year.”

Among the winners of the India MICE Awards were Swastik Wellbeing Sanctuary, Corinthians Pune, Radisson Blu Pune Kharadi, Ananta Spa & Resort Ajabgarh, The Ananta Udaipur, Sayaji Kolhapur, Wyndham Grand Udaipur, Dr. Girish Desai (President, Pune Chinchwad University), Pankaj Saxena, Kipson Travel Solutions, and Zipped Hospitality.

In his address, the organiser Mr. Arvind Sharma said:

“India MICE Awards is not merely an award ceremony, but a celebration of the collective achievements of the Indian MICE industry. Our goal is to establish India as a world-class MICE hub, and this platform is bringing together all stakeholders of the industry.”

It is noteworthy that Mr. Arvind Sharma was also honoured in the British Parliament in 2025 for his India-dedicated magazine, TravTour MICE.

The evening concluded with presentations, a networking dinner, and cultural performances that captivated all guests. The success of the 12th edition has once again proven that India’s MICE industry continues to reach new heights. Mr. Arvind Sharma announced that the next India MICE Awards will be held in New Delhi in June this year.
